Okay I know this whole episode was crazy but I'm still stuck on Gabriel's letter omg. He said "nous n'avons jamais regretté d'avoir-" before he got cut off. WHAT WAS HE GONNA SAYYYY

at this point it's pretty clear that the writers want to make sentiadrien canon and very clear without ever actually saying it out loud so he was DEFINITELY going to say "pour te créer"

Including me this department now has 2 student teachers + 2 long term subs (with 2 of the “real” teachers working out leaves for next semester). Technically, I’m not even “on duty” with them yet. I’ve only been shadowing as I prepare to take over for this teacher for her leave. And STILL they’re telling me “interviews come first” and bending over backwards to ensure coverage for any interview I can get. I won’t even get my full sentence out before they’re telling me to accept the interview and working out coverage.

@ the mag7 fam, I realize I have no way of convincing you this is not a 'and then everyone clapped' fake post, but i LITERALLY MET MANUEL GARCIA RULFO this weekend at a TIFF party, and we LITERALLY SPOKE FOR LIKE 5 MINUTES

Takeaways:

he is really ridiculously handsome, excellent brown eyes, A+

really not as tall as he seems in character, and much slighter, i may have to revisit how 'looming' i've written him in fic lmao

(on that note it is biZARRE meeting someone whose character you've written fic about, that is the first time that has happened to me. i can only be grateful i haven't written too much with him, i'd have withered if it was ethan hawke or LBH lol)

he was extremely friendly! and as it transpired he lived in my hometown for about a year so we just chatted about that. he loves poutine and hates the winter, and he has my full agreement on both counts 👍

he also appears to be dating vincent d'onofrio's daughter which is sO cute, the mag7 fam lives on 🙌 (she is gorgeous btw. and I don't think this is like a 'scoop' or private info or anything lol, I asked if he had anything going on at tiff that day and he was very openly like 'no only next week, today I'm just supporting her!)

(also the context for All This is my gentleman friend is a journalist and i joined him at TIFF for the weekend and basically larped as a famous person all weekend lol good times. weekend was crazy but this part felt the most relevant to tumblr)

Okay possible unpopular opinion? thought? curiosity? something here lol

I'm relatively new to the religious lore so there's fair chance I'm missing things, but the potential of the Vax / Raven Queen pairing seems a little... Don't get me wrong, I cried my eyes out at every stage of the end, but does no one else feel like Vax's story was equal parts tragedy and ascension?

Idk, the final deal he makes with her is laced with sadness for sure, but also with... potential? Loneliness? I don't even mean it in a ship way. There's just this element of melancholy companionship and comfort that's so intriguing to me. Vax who just SEES the people in his orbit and cares so deeply about them, who has come to terms with and learned to appreciate her purpose, finding his place at her side, while she's an even more solitary figure, shadowed and mysterious, but also profoundly purposed and caring in her own way. An outsider, even in the midst of everything, literally all the time. Parallels. Parallels in their stories. Parallels in their character details. There's something so Hades and Persephone about the overarching image of the two of them, but with all the details twisted toward different themes. Or maybe the same themes, ancient or modern. I don't know.

Again, it's not even a ship thing. I'm just... Thoughts. Open-ended thoughts. Idk.
